Japanese game company Bandai Namco has released the first Tensura’s console video game. Everyone’s favorite beloved isekai’s slime has finally gotten a fully featured long-form game in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Isekai Chronicles.
Developed by ZOC and published by Bandai Namco, players will be able to experience some of the anime’s most pivotal moments and embark on new adventures in Central World.
While That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime does have one previous video game adaption, in the form of mobile game titled ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories’. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories is a 3D battle RPG developed by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc., It was officially released on October 27, 2021, and the servers opened the following day. The game is available to play on mobile and is listed on Google Play and Apple Store.

This new video gameis a 2D light social sim, RPG and city-building mechanics, combines with classic JRPG battles. It is marking the first time that players are able to experience a full-length Slime game with a DLC roadmap to boot. The features are offering unique gameplay for users.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles has taken a very retro approach to its choice of gameplay elements and style. This game is a side scrolling action RPG where you explore areas and kick plenty of monster booty for that juicy loot.
Combat is surprisingly fun as it felt really similar to the classic 2D old-school fighting game control scheme. Certain button inputs trigger particular skills. Once you learn what button does what, combat is insanely fun and full of action in a visual novel-esque style.
Players can choose three characters from the anime’s extensive cast to take into battle, backed up by two support characters that will give the heroes super-attacks or passive buffs. Rimuru can learn new techniques by making use of the game’s social sim aspects, in which the Demon Lord can spend time with his teammates. The game is fully voiced in Japanese, with subtitles available for international players.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Isekai Chronicles is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
