Fashion and Missions: Contrasting Looks in ‘Anna’ Vs ‘Kingsman’

Saving the world with a touch of style! Here we are, observing ‘Anna’ and ‘Kingsman’ through different stylistic lenses, yet both remain eye-catching and captivating. Spy style has been a very recognizable element in lots of spy films. Look at ‘James Bond’, ‘Mission Impossible’, ‘Casino Royale’, and ‘Salt’. They are able to save the world while looking sharp like a badass.

‘Anna,’ a marvelous movie directed by Luc Besson, tells the story of a woman named Anna Poliatova (Sasha Luss), who is recruited to be a stylish and beautiful spy. On the other hand, ‘Kingsman,’ directed by Matthew Vaughn, introduces a simpler and more traditional spy style through the character Eggsy Unwin (Taron Egerton).

In ‘Anna’, we can see that she adopts various styles while working as a spy. As she navigates the dangerous world of espionage, her fashion choices become essential elements of her identity and strategy, showing her versatility and sophistication. What she wears truly represents her character and inner self. Anna’s style is edgy and modern, reflecting her complex and multifaceted character.

In contrast, ‘Kingsman’ shows a variety of styles. The character Eggsy wears a blend of traditional British with a modern twist. Additionally, he often incorporates elements of streetwear into his outfits, like hoodies or sneakers, giving his look a youthful and urban vibe. Eggsy’s style reflects his rebellious nature and street-smart persona as a spy.

Anna has various clothes, for example, a bustier body corset that she wears while doing her job in a hotel room. She looks mature and sexy when the corset is combined with black short hair, a necklace, and a little touch of red lipstick represents her courage and boldness. In another scene, she wears a black turtleneck that really suits her body, representing a strong and firm character. It shows that she is brave and unbothered by anything she might face.

In contrast, Eggsy looks like a classic British gentleman. He wears neat, double-breasted suits that make him appear smart and well-mannered. His accessories, like Oxford shoes, add a touch of simplicity while keeping his look classy. Think James Bond, but with even better shoes!

Overall, both ‘Anna’ and ‘Kingsman’ show unique styles that make us believe that fashion has become a very important element in spy films, it makes us wonder if fashion is as important as their spy skills. Their looks offer different perspectives on what it means to be a modern stylish spy, proving that saving the world can indeed be done with a touch of style. Their fashion choices become a form of non-verbal communication, conveying confidence, brilliance, and charisma.

‘Anna’ and ‘Kingsman’ not only entertain with their thrilling plots and dynamic characters but also captivate with their fashion. These films demonstrate that in the world of spies, looking the part can be just as crucial as playing it.
