5 Anime Heroines So Powerful It’s Unfair

The month April is a fascinating time of the year, not only is the first day of the month is April Fool’s day, In Indonesia we celebrate the birth of one of the most important women figures which is Raden Ayu Kartini otherwise known as the pioneer of Indonesian women emancipation especially for the Javanese people.

This time however we’re not talking about her story, instead we’ll be discussing who are the most powerful heroines that has ever graced the anime scene. Because if you want to fight for emancipation, you either need a bright mind like Kartini or you’re powerful enough to make others’ mouths shut up. Without further ado, let’s see who is the most powerful heroine of them all.

  1. Haruhi Suzumiya

She’s literally a freaking god. No more words to say.

Okay, if we include gods on the list then it would be in the realm of tens of thousands seeing god (pun intended) knows how many isekais have goddesses in their harem. So no gods or divine beings included. Let’s take a look at the real list now.

1. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)

Our favorite scarlet haired waifu (at least my favorite) is an S-Class mage of the Fairy Tail Guild and also a member of Team Natsu. Erza is commonly seen wearing a custom-made armor by the famed Heart Kreuz, a blue skirt, black boots and diamond shaped silver earrings.

What’s the power that makes her into the list? Aside from her master swordsmanship skills, she is also proficient in magic with her Requip: The Knight and Sword Magic. Now while the first power is technically just allowing her to swap weapons, armor and clothes, but with her immense amount of armor which is said to be in the 100s and the weapons in the 200s. You could see how she’s able to adapt to any conditions and still come out on top.

2. Ryuuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)

The opposite of the opulent Erza, Ryuuko only has one armor called Senketsu and one weapon which is her red Scissor Blade. But with just these two, she’s able to beat everybody in the show. Ryuuko’s goal in the show is to search for the other pair of her Scissor Blade and find the person who murdered her father, Isshin Matoi. In the process she started by transferring to Honnouji Academy, a bootcamp disguised as an academy.

The school is notorious for having strict hierarchical structure ranging based on stars from zero stars to three stars. Ryuuko as you can imagine is a zero star which subjects her to constant bullying but what does Ryuuko do? Beat the shit out of those who came to bother her. Using her Senketsu and her trusty red Scissor Blade, she cut down everyone with a single slash and eventually went to space and blew a moon-sized hole in the Cocoon Genesis Sphere. What a dame.

3. Tatsumaki (One Punch Man)

Highly regarded as the number two most powerful S-Class, Tatsumaki uses her bordering overpowered psychokinesis powers to beat basically everyone. In the world of the wacky One Punch Man, being able to achieve this feat is quite impressive. With an appearance of a loli, green hair and the same green eyes, she often gets into scuffle regarding Saitama.

As an esper, she can create psychic barriers, telekinesis, whip up powerful whirlwinds and even bring down a meteor. When you can bring down meteors, what else is there to say other than, she gloriously fits the nickname that’s given to her, “Tornado of Terror”.

4. Caulifla & Kale (Dragon Ball Super)

Hailing from Universe 6, they are the first canon female Saiyans. Though Caulifla is regarded as the strongest between the pair, not strange considering she is Kale’s mentor after all, Kale has the biggest potential as she is a Legendary Saiyan, a demon warrior who appears every 1000 years.

I put the two in the same entry because separately they’re powerful but when they fuse together into Kefla using a Potara earring, she can contend head on with Goku in his Super Saiyan God. The same form that allowed Goku to fight Beerus with 70% of his power, a real bona-fide God of Destruction. Kefla is pretty OP.

5. Merlin (Seven Deadly Sins)

Not the most faithful adaptation to the Merlin in the legend of King Arthur, but just for her, I’ll allow it. I mean she can even fool the leader of the goddesses and demons into giving her, more like conning, their two blessings. Not only that, she also has infinite mana, a cheat-like ability many FF14 players would love.

Though she rarely shows up in the show, when she did show up, she wreaked havoc on anyone she came across. Except that time when Chandler counters her magic seal and turns her into her real form, a child. The story of how this came to be is long so for those who haven’t watched SDS, watch it. Now. Because Merlin is one heck of a woman.
