In 2020, Ubisoft presented fans with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 2 years after Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was released. Valhalla is not a small game, it is a cohesive game with a big world. Now 2 years have passed since the journey of Eivor Varinsdottir started to find a settlement, and the journey Eivor might end as Ubisoft announced.
Ubisoft announce that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will end by this year to conclude the story of Eivor before releasing new Assassin’s Creed title. Since launching back in 2020, Ubisoft has continued to support the latest Assassin’s Creed game in a big with an array of post-release content and patches.
Just recently unveiled that there will be new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla titled ‘The Last Chapter’ as a free-quest arc. This quest is meant to conclude Eivor’s arc that has spanned across the base game of Valhalla. The best part of The Last Chapter’s addition to Valhalla is that it will be added to the game as a free update.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Two years after its release, Valhalla finally meet its end. It doesn’t stop there, Ubisoft also already announce the title for the next Assassin’s Creed. It is called Assassin’s Creed Mirage with Basim Ibn Ishaq from Valhalla will be the main character that take us to 9th-century Baghdad. There is no exact date yet regarding the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but it is reported that the game will be released on Spring 2023.
Assassin and Witchcraft?
Beside Mirage, Ubisoft also drop a teaser with title Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe. The trailer is packed with mystery and has that eerie feeling with dark background and witch-like symbolism. There is no info yet on the detail, but it is reported that the background of Hexe will be in Europe on the later stage of Holy Roman Empire and revolves around witch trial.
Codename Hexe is said to be a flagship product from Assassin’s Creed series produced by Ubisoft Montreal. There is no update yet regarding the release date.

Just like what a lot of Assassin’s Creed fans want, the game is finally going to the far east! Ubisoft Quebec (the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey) drop a teaser titled Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red. The teaser shows an assassin (or a ninja to be exact) with a Japanese background. It is said the background of the game will be a feudal Japan where fans can enjoy a powerful shinobi fantasy in an open-world RPG and will be another flagship title alongside Hexe.
Another title is Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade that will take players to China 215 BCE. Codename Jade will be release as a mobile game that will take players to enjoy jumping and assassinating in the Great Wall of China.
There is no information yet regarding the release date of both Codename Red and Codename Jade, but it is reported that both won’t be release until at least 2024.
The Netflix Show
Beside some new game titles that will be released by Ubisoft for the next few years, Ubisoft also update fans that the company is working together with Netflix to adapt the game into a series. The cooperation between both parties is still in early stage. There is no teaser yet and even info on the casts, but it is reported that Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, Vikings: Valhalla) will be the showrunner for this series.
Marc-Alexis Côté, creative director of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, shared his comment regarding the production of Netflix series, “It’s gonna be an epic, genre-bending live-action adaptation of our video game series.”
